“Bastone” is a suspension lamp that takes inspiration from the shape of a walking stick, cane. Each hanging unit consists in one metal bent pipe and one extruded glass cylinder, ordered hanging and fixing on a metal circular frame, by using structured glass, creates various refraction when light source passes the glass material. Bastone comes in a range of forms by changing the length of the glass cylinder and the hanging orientations enable to derived to four versions as a series. The color gradients on the glass cylinder in a delicate change gives a mood rhythm to space. Transforming an iconic familiar object to an elegant representation in a contemporary language.
